Invest in Justice,

Build a Better World.

Our democracy is built on the rule of law, which ensures fairness, justice, and human rights for all. The American Bar Association Center for Global Programs (ABA CGP) is dedicated to defending the rule of law and protecting the rights of all.

In Morocco, we carried out education campaign activities to raise awareness of corruption in the criminal justice system in the Marrakech region.

Testimonials

"I want to thank the American Bar Association for all of the important work that it does to promote the rule of law...We have some critical challenges: combating terrorism, combating corruption, poverty, and the threat of pandemics. And all of these would be alleviated, in part, by a rule of law movement. But this can't be a project of just one organization, or one profession, or one country. I think each of us has a stake in the rule of law, and we have to work together toward the goal."

— Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (1930-2023)

“I have undertaken more than 20 programs in Russia, Slovakia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Iraq, Morocco, Turkey, Jordan, Georgia, Oman, Ecuador, Moldova, Qatar, and Libya, as well as a dozen or so courses at the CEELI Institute in Prague. The programs varied in length, some as short as three or four days, others as long as three weeks. The subject matter varied, depending on the needs of the countries served. But they all shared one thing: dedicated to-or at least curiosity about—advancing the rule of law. In every country I met wonderful people and learned about history, customs, and legal cultures.”
